We Believe in the Power of Prayer

Various programs in the Deacon's Ministries tangibly support those who are facing illness or other crises. These programs provide prayer, flowers, cards and meal baskets to members and loved ones in need. In addition, emergency funds are available to those facing unique financial trials.
You or a loved one may request support from the various ministries here at Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church by contacting the church office at office@pointlomachurch.org or (619) 223-1633, or by filling out a Prayer Request form. |

Deacons' Backpack Drive
As the summer season begins, it might seem like the time to think about getting ready for school would be the last thing we would have in mind. As our thoughts turn to vacation times and relaxation, the Deacons also ask that we look ahead together and think of those who may find it hard to get ready for the all-to-soon end of the season.
In partnership with PRESBYTERIAN URBAN MINISTRIES, for the entire month of July, we will be holding our annual BACKPACK DRIVE to collect school supplies for kids in need in our community. Look for collection points entering the sanctuary or in the Family Life Center to leave your gift. The suggested items to donate are:
- Backpacks, Erasers, Pens, Pencil Sharpeners
- Pencils, Crayons, Rulers, Lined Notebook Paper
- Colored Pencils, Spiral Notebooks, Glue Sticks, Folders
We are grateful to each and every member who is supporting our ministry, which we feel blessed to carry out on behalf of the whole PLCPC family. |
