A prayer quilt is a lap-sized gift of love for someone in need of prayer. It is a statement of our faith in God and in God’s power to comfort, strengthen and heal. Quilts are held together with lengths of heavy embroidery floss into which square knots are tied when prayers are offered. After each worship service, we invite you to come forward and “Tie a Prayer” into each quilt, even if you don’t know the recipient.
Would you like to be more directly involved in our prayer quilt ministry? Everyone is welcome. Our chapter meetings are held in the Family Life Center on the first Saturday of most months. Our prayer team meets in the parlor at 9 am, on the third Wednesday of each month. Our quilting workshops are held on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month from 1-3 pm.
