Fellowship and Service

Chatsworth Adult Center

Chatsworth Adult CenterProvides an opportunity and place for its members to socialize, learn and grow in ecumenical fellowship through sharing, discovering and employing the resources of older people in meeting their own needs and others in the community. The Center is open every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. and provides groups such as spiritual growth, current events, etc.

Programs are presented on a wide range of topics such as medicine, art, music and travel. All programs start at 11:00 a.m. A prepared lunch is served at 11:45 a.m. The cost of the lunch is $5.00. Reservations are required and can be made by calling the church office at 619.223.1633.
Chatsworth has a board of officers that is responsible for the daily activities and programming. A facilitator is employed to help coordinate the Center. No dues are required, but 25 cents each week is suggested. All are welcome to Chatsworth Adult Center who wish to share in warm fellowship, continue to learn and experience renewal in body, mind and spirit.

Clipper Club

A purely social organization. Meetings are held in the Family Life Center on the second Monday of each month. The format consists of a pot-luck dinner, short business meeting and an entertaining or informative program of about 30 minutes. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and usually finish around 8:30 p.m. Everyone is invited.


 

Need a Ride?

The Peninsula Shepherd Senior Center provides weekly van service to local shopping centers. Ambulatory seniors living in zip codes 92106, 92107, and part of 92110 are picked up at their homes and taken to area shopping centers. A volunteer rides on the van to help carry purchases. In addition, our volunteer/escort service provides rides to non-emergency medical appointments to ambulatory seniors living in 92106, 92107, and part of 92110.
